November Loose Button Luxe Box Review

I mentioned previously that I received my Luxe Box by Loose Button. I figured it is the last day of the month now and it should be safe to review without ruining any surprises for anyone.

November Luxe Box by Loose Button

This is the first Luxe Box I have revived and I LOVED it. Really impressed and look forward to receiving more. I also signed up for Glymm Box this month and will be receiving my first one of that next month. One quick note about Glymm Box, if you sign up using my link you get 100 bonus points and that is good for $10 off a full size product. You don’t have to use my link but I am mentioning because no one told me and I am sad that I missed out on my free $10!

Back to my Luxe Box.

November Loose Button Luxe Box Review

What’s Inside:

Lisa Watier Plumpissimo Le Gloss 1.1ml in Nude (full size: 6.2ml $20)
Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub 22ml (full size 75ml $32)
Moroccanoil Styling Cream 75ml (full size 250ml $32)
Benefit Cosmetics B. Right! Moisture Prep Toning Lotion 8.9ml (full size 177.4ml $29)
BONUS: Teaopia Cactus Fig Tea Kit (full size 50g $7)

I have actually bought the Lisa Watier Plumpissimo Le Gloss in Nude before! It is an amazing lip gloss! The box was so cute and put together so nicely. I like how they personalize the boxes and I notice that people get different variations of the boxes. It is fun to see what everyone else got. The box includes a cute little card telling you about everything you got. So fun.

The Moroccanoil Styling Cream is expired but Moroccanoil and Loose Button are making up for it next month – it was so nice of them to send out an email to let us know. I actually haven’t tried anything in the box yet… not sure what I am waiting for, I better get on that because soon I am going to have TWO boxes!

In case you are not familiar with Luxe Box by Loose Button it is a make up subscription service that costs $12 a month plus tax. Here is the quote from their website:

Free Amooza Cheese Twists and Very Cheap Glade

I had to go into Superstore today because it is the only place in town that sells the Amooza Cheese to use my free product coupon from the Kraft box. I guess I didn’t have to go today but I did have to go at some point.

I am actually very happy I choose to go into Superstore today! Never thought those words would come out of my mouth… I found a little folded sheet of $15 in Proctor and Gamble coupons – no idea where they came from, they were just laying on the ground. It has some good coupons in it. Almost like a little mini P&G insert. Also while I was in there I found the BEST present for my mom. I want to give it to her right away though because I am just so excited for it, don’t think I can wait. Not a very big shop, but awesome none the less.

The Glade makes my office smell very nice! I *might* have to go to Superstore again to get a refill. It is nice that when you use a coupon zone coupon you pay tax on the cost after coupon rather then before like everywhere else. It just sucks that you can only use one at a time – I would rather do all my shopping in one go. But I guess if they let you use more then one they would have nothing left in the store like everywhere else.

The cheese was alright, it is defiantly made to appeal to kids but it was okay. I tried to use the B1G1 with it but they wouldn’t let me. Since the coupon expires tomorrow I put it back by the Amooza cheese and hopefully someone else can use it. It was when I was putting it there that I saw my Mom’s perfect gift, seriously so excited and happy I went into Superstore for like the first time ever.

Free L’Oreal Man Expert – Free Tyenol Muscle Aches & Body Pain

Found 6 more L’Oreal Man Expert coupons laying around since they expire on Wednesday thought I would try and use them since they were already printed. Wal-Mart happened to have 5 trial sizes left, so I picked them up, a full size one (to use my coupon and overage) and a Betty Crocker snack size cookie mix. What a GENIUS idea, snack size cookie mix! Was thrilled to find this so thought I would try it out with some of overage. I have linked the L’Oreal Man Expert printable coupon below but it does expire on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 so you need to use it fast.

(highest yet!)

Well going through some coupons I also found some Tyenol Muscle Aches & Body Pain coupons that I had printed a while ago from Living Well – these coupons were $4 off but had no size restrictions on them! I didn’t even notice because the ones I printed after have a size restriction so I assumed they all did. While in Wal-Mart I saw the 16 counts sell for $3.28 there but of course they were sold out, like they usually are for anything that involves a coupon. But I did find some in Zellers and London Drugs for more – no overage, but at least I got some and they were still free (had to pay tax). Looking forward to trying these tonight for my sore shoulder. I had to go into both stores because you are only allowed one coupon per person – it was fine though because Zellers and London Drugs are right next door to each other.

On to a bit of a different topic that I haven’t talked much about – and that is cashiers entering in your coupons correct. 4 times in the past week alone I have had the cashiers mix up or miss a coupon. I don’t always say something – once it was for 50 cents and another time $1.00 so I didn’t bother. But on one of my recent shopping trips a $5 coupon was missed, I even asked her three times telling her I am pretty sure she missed a coupon. She said she didn’t so I paid, got my receipt and saw she missed one. I feel really bad and don’t want to argue with them, in this case they corrected it for me. The glare at you for asking them if they are doing their job right… the thing is, I usually know what my order total should be within a dollar, if it’s higher I am going to notice. Don’t they realize that most people using coupons probably know their totals. I guess not everyone thinks like a couponer. Anyway, something similar happened in Wal-Mart today at least this time I was able to show her the error before I paid. I just feel so bad when I have to ask them more then once, “are you sure you got all the coupons, the total should be lower than that.” I feel like such a cheap ass. Missing $1.00 isn’t the end of the world for me but when its $3.00 like today or $5.00 like last week it makes a big difference. Anyway, moral of this story is always double check your totals and coupons and try and have an idea of what your total should be (if you can).

Free Dove, Cheap OB Tampons, Oasis Juice & Duracell Rechargeable Batteries

Got some pretty good shopping trips in this weekend. Went into Shoppers Drug Mart to get a couple things and use some coupons. Both things I went in for had the sale tags on the wrong items. Whoever did the pricing must of been half asleep! Not that I am complaining, I got even better deals!

SDM had Duracell Mini Recharges on sale for $6.88 and I had a $5 coupon from P&G – but when we I went to get them they had put the sale on tag on the regular charger that recharges 4 batteries at a time! SCORE, I no longer need to use two outlets to charge my keyboard batteries – even better, they came with 4 batteries for $1.88 plus tax! The ones in the charger are the black tops – the white tops are better, but I don’t care for the price. So excited, I was even able to get two! I also went to pick up some of the OB tampons for $1.99 and they had marked the 40 boxes for $1.99 – it was supposed to be the 18’s. I bought two but couldn’t use my coupon because they were on sale (coupon says regular price). Price was still awesome. Maybe I should of got more then 2 boxes…

I was really impressed with Shoppers Drug Mart for honouring their errors. They did have to confirm the stickers on the products and they did admit their error – because they tagged the wrong items I could not SCOP (scanning code of practice), but I could have it for the price listed. They also removed the tags from the shelves after me. I don’t know if they had to honour the price errors but they did and it make it super happy – even if I had to wait a bit. :)

I also got buy one get one free frozen ribs! Was a good day and looking forward to making a nice dinner.

Awesome Kraft Stacking Shopping Trip (FREE Scrubbing Bubbles and Philadelphia Cream Cheese)

These is similar to the trip I made the other day – a good friend of mine gave me some of her extra Kraft coupons from the What’s Cooking Magazine from the Kraft Samplicious Box. Since they expire tomorrow I thought I better hurry and use them. I combined them again with the save $5 WUB 5 from Save on Foods (I bought 10 Kraft Products and used two of these).

I didn’t have coupons for everything *gasp* but I thought they were decent prices anyway. We are very well stocked for Christmas now, guess I better hurry and start inviting people over to eat it all!

All the coupons I used came in the Kraft box – other then the Save $5 when you buy 5 – Save on Foods had those in store.

I thought I was out of Scrubbing Bubble stacks but I found one when cleaning up my coupons AND Save on Foods had more in stock! Woot!

I felt kind of bad, I did hold up the line and they only had one cashier open. I thought going at almost 9pm would be a safe bet but I guess not. They did end up opening another till but I could tell people were getting frustrated and I felt bad. :(

Getting food feels really good, I love getting cheap hair and body products but they is just something extra awesome about food – even if it is just a ton of crackers lol.

Free Samples: Costco P&G brandSAMPLER

Got my P&G brandSAMPLER from Costco yesterday! I was starting to think this might never come. It is very similar to the regular P&G brandSAMPLER that I received a few weeks ago. Both of these offers are no longer available but I will post when they are live again. The Costco one was defiantly better then the regular one.
