Got bacon using the free coupon from WebSaver (no longer available) and used saved $5 when you buy 2 O.B. products (found it while cleaning out coupons). I am well stocked in feminine products now, it is so hard to resist when they are so cheap but I should have enough to last me almost two years now. Thankfully they come in such small boxes they are easy to store.
I love FREE stuff. Have had a really good free week: pomegranates, O.B., aveeno and bacon! Really starting to get the hang of getting stuff free. :D haha
Found Aveeno Active Naturals Living Colour – Colour Preserving Shine Glaze on clearance at London Drugs and had enough coupons left to stack and make them free. A coupon fairy had also been there and left some tear pads for other people. I love seeing people do that but then I have to wonder why the person had enough coupons to start with to be able to leave a stack of coupons right before they expire. A sign that people are taking too many coupons. I noticed a few stacks of older coupons around the hair products.

Had a question in the a comments asking about SCOP – Scanning Code Of Practice. Thought it might be helpful to make a post on it.
If an item scans in higher then the advertised price the customer is entitled to receive the item free (up to $10). The price must be corrected to the advertised price before the $10 discount. This only applies to 1 item if you are buying more then one of the same item, the rest are just price adjusted to the correct price.
If the scanned price of a non-price ticketed item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the item free, up to a $10 maximum. When the item has a price tagged, the lowest price applies. When identical items are incorrectly priced, the second one will be sold at the correct price.
IMPORTANT: Stores do not have to participate in the Scanning Code of Practice – it is optional. But a lot of the bigger chain stores do (except Zellers).
Also, many stores won’t mention SCOP even if you catch a price error – you usually have to bring it to their attention and ask for you free item/$10 discount.
Had a couple of these coupons I figured I wouldn’t use. Until I saw a post that you can use them on the lip balm! Perfect stocking stuffers. Picked these up at Walmart for FREE! I only got 2 because that was all I needed.
(got the 2nd wrapped up before I remembered to take photo)
1 x Nivea Pure & Natural Chamomile Lip Care $1.96 – $2.00 tear pad coupon = FREE
1 x Nivea Pure & Natural Milk & Honey Lip Care $1.96 – $2.00 tear pad coupon = FREE
I had a few free product coupons that expire at the end of the month so I thought it was time I hunt down the products and use up my coupons. I had to go to three different stores to use up 4 coupons. Seems kind of retarded to me. So much driving all over and wasting time – I mean I got free stuff but there has to be a line somewhere…
I had been looking for the Asana yogurt for a while now… went to THREE more stores yesterday before finally finding it at a store I never stop at – Quality Foods. I just can’t believe how many stores I checked before hand that didn’t sell it. The same goes for the Tenderflake Easy Pie/Crumble Kit – apparently only WalMart sells it. Kind of annoying – and they only had the crumble version. :( I found the Olivieri Whole Grain and the Pure KRAFT Refrigerated Salad Dressing at Save On Foods.
I got a call last night from someone who knows someone who knows someone (leaving it vague on purpose) that is looking for help this holiday seasons. They were actually looking for used clothes but I thought hey – why not put together a stocking? I have only been couponing about two months but off the top of my head I thought of some things I had that could help make a really nice stocking – I also knew of some coupons and sales that could help too. I gathered some stuff up around the house and off I went to pick up my sister and we went midnight shopping! For serious, I didn’t get home until almost 1am.
We were able to get some more free Listening Whitening, free trial size LaCoupe and a couple other small things to add to the bag of stuff I had for them. I think I put together a really nice stocking and it was really nice to know that I am helping someone else. I LOVE my stocking and hope it brings as much joy to his person as it did me putting it together for them. I am sure it will.
I didn’t take any photos or anything of the stuff I picked up for them. BUT – while we were out we went to Superstore – it was almost bare-able at 12am. Here I found Olay Massaging Bar Soap on sale for $1.49 – PERFECT to use up my $2.00 off coupons from BrandSaver. They even gave me the overage! Awesome sauce.
2 x Luscious Embrace Olay Massaging Bar Soap $1.49 – $2.00 from BrandSaver.ca (no longer available) = FREE ($-0.51 each)
1 x Silk Whimsy Olay Massaging Bar Soap $1.49 – $2.00 from BrandSaver.ca (no longer available) = FREE ($-0.51)
