My favourite chocolate chip cookie recipe with the addition of Rice Krispies.
The Rice Krispies didn’t stay very crispy once baked but they did added a nice texture, almost a little chewy. Made for a nice surprise.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- 2 cups lightly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 2/3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In large bowl, beat melted butter, brown sugar, eggs and hot water until smooth.
- In medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture until blended.
- Stir in milk chocolate chips and Rice Krispies. Be careful not to crush the Rice Krispies. Drop from cookie scoop onto a lined cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Notes
- Makes approximately 6 dozen cookies.
