Free Dove, Cheap OB Tampons, Oasis Juice & Duracell Rechargeable Batteries

Got some pretty good shopping trips in this weekend. Went into Shoppers Drug Mart to get a couple things and use some coupons. Both things I went in for had the sale tags on the wrong items. Whoever did the pricing must of been half asleep! Not that I am complaining, I got even better deals!

SDM had Duracell Mini Recharges on sale for $6.88 and I had a $5 coupon from P&G – but when we I went to get them they had put the sale on tag on the regular charger that recharges 4 batteries at a time! SCORE, I no longer need to use two outlets to charge my keyboard batteries – even better, they came with 4 batteries for $1.88 plus tax! The ones in the charger are the black tops – the white tops are better, but I don’t care for the price. So excited, I was even able to get two! I also went to pick up some of the OB tampons for $1.99 and they had marked the 40 boxes for $1.99 – it was supposed to be the 18’s. I bought two but couldn’t use my coupon because they were on sale (coupon says regular price). Price was still awesome. Maybe I should of got more then 2 boxes…

I was really impressed with Shoppers Drug Mart for honouring their errors. They did have to confirm the stickers on the products and they did admit their error – because they tagged the wrong items I could not SCOP (scanning code of practice), but I could have it for the price listed. They also removed the tags from the shelves after me. I don’t know if they had to honour the price errors but they did and it make it super happy – even if I had to wait a bit. :)

While I was in Save on Foods I also found Aylmer Accents Tomatoes on sale for $1.00 each (not in photo or price count) – was happy to see those, I didn’t have any coupons but I always miss out when Wal-Mart has them on for $1.00 – they always sell out right away. I also got buy one get one free frozen ribs! Was a good day and looking forward to making a nice dinner.

Awesome Kraft Stacking Shopping Trip (FREE Scrubbing Bubbles and Philadelphia Cream Cheese)

These is similar to the trip I made the other day – a good friend of mine gave me some of her extra Kraft coupons from the What’s Cooking Magazine from the Kraft Samplicious Box. Since they expire tomorrow I thought I better hurry and use them. I combined them again with the save $5 WUB 5 from Save on Foods (I bought 10 Kraft Products and used two of these).

I didn’t have coupons for everything *gasp* but I thought they were decent prices anyway. We are very well stocked for Christmas now, guess I better hurry and start inviting people over to eat it all!

All the coupons I used came in the Kraft box – other then the Save $5 when you buy 5 – Save on Foods had those in store.

I thought I was out of Scrubbing Bubble stacks but I found one when cleaning up my coupons AND Save on Foods had more in stock! Woot!

I felt kind of bad, I did hold up the line and they only had one cashier open. I thought going at almost 9pm would be a safe bet but I guess not. They did end up opening another till but I could tell people were getting frustrated and I felt bad. :(

Getting food feels really good, I love getting cheap hair and body products but they is just something extra awesome about food – even if it is just a ton of crackers lol.

Best Shopping Trip Yet

I am pretty sure today was my best shopping trip yet. It wasn’t the biggest savings wise but I feel like I got some pretty good prices and on some food items. So far I have only been getting toiletries and cleaning supplies so it was nice to get something we can eat! It was a bunch of processed foods, like cookies and crackers but these are going to come in handy over the holidays. I am really excited about today’s trip – seems like a weird thing to be excited about?

Most of the coupons were inside the What’s Cooking Magazine found inside my Kraft Samplicious Box – so unless my post says otherwise, that is where I get the coupon from. I did my shopping at Save on Foods, everything I bought was card price PLUS I got to use an in store coupon, save $5 when you buy 5 Kraft products. The store I went to didn’t actually have any of the new coupons but they let me use an old one that they found. Awesome customer service!

Success: FREE Scrubbing Bubbles and Cheap Schick Quattro

Third time is the charm. I have tried to do this stack three times now and finally had some luck. I guess this was actually my fourth time – I had two stacks of coupons to get two free Scrubbing Bubbles 1 Step Toilet Kit. The first time went great – they took $10 off the $9.98 price – no problems or questions asked.

Trying to get my second free one is when things went downhill. First try, I went to a different Save on Foods and was told they don’t stack. Second try, I was back in the Save On Foods where I got the first, I was told I couldn’t use my coupons because my coupon value exceeded the price of the product.

Today I was back in the same Save on Foods where I got the first one and was turned away because my coupon value was too high. Today they took my coupons, didn’t say a word and price adjusted it down 2 cents. Still find it so weird how every cashier is so different. One took them and gave me the full $10, one wouldn’t take them and told me they couldn’t get adjusted and the third adjusted them down to $9.98. All in the same store.

Anyway, I have my Scrubbing Bubbles now and I can stop looking and trying. Also, on sale I found a pretty cheap Schick Quattro for Women TrimStyle – thought I would try it out! This is the shaver I normally use, so I already have the blades. Figure it can’t hurt.

Another Save On Foods Stacking Fail

I am just not meant to get more free Scrubbing Bubbles. This is the same stack I tried to do last night at the Save On Foods that does not allow stacking – this time I found the Scrubbing Bubbles 1 Step Toilet Kit at the same Save On Foods that I did the EXACT same stack at on a few days ago. Except this time they couldn’t do the stack because my coupons were worth 2 cents more then the product.

I understand there are policies and rules and all that but shouldn’t the same store at least follow the same rules? It seems to me couponing is like gambling – will the store take my coupons today or won’t they. Hold your breath, am I going to win today? Did I pick the right cashier? It seems to be more up to the cashiers and if they care if they follows the rules on that particular day. I just find it frustrating and embarrassing when you have to tell them you don’t want what you are buying then. I feel like I am being judged or something. I am always polite, I know they are doing their job I just wish they would all follow the same rules – makes it easier to know what I can and can not do.

Turned down for Scrubbing Bubbles for two days in a row. Doesn’t look like I will be getting anymore free – I am running out of stores to try and stock is hard to find.

Back to reading coupon policies. According to both the London Drugs and the Save on Foods coupon policies, neither will accept coupons that exceed the amount of the product. How come so many people get away with this and so often? Seriously confused.

Not All Save On Foods Allow Stacking

I just assumed that all Save On Foods would be the same in their coupon policies. I am not sure why I though this but anyway it is not true and I found it out the embarrassing way… or the hard way however you want to look at it.

I have already coupon sacked at 2/3 Save On Foods and 1/2 London Drugs here in town – like I said, I figured if one did they all did. Was at that third Save On Foods tonight and they had something I had been looking for to stack and get free – the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Kit and now I know why it was still there! hah

I didn’t end up getting it and I was kind of embarrassed about the whole thing but it was my own fault. I just didn’t realize that each store in a chain would have that different of policies. Lesson learned, always check the coupon policies for EACH INDIVIDUAL store.

Thankfully I don’t typically shop at that Save On Foods and is it the farthest from me – I just happened to be in there.

Of course after I got home I googled and read the policy and saw that it is different from store to store. Hopefully this helps someone else from making the same mistake I did – call your local store and check if they allow coupon stacking before you go!

Free Scrubbing Bubbles. Free Fantastic. Free Aveeno. Free Listerine.

When I say free I did have to pay the tax. Although, I don’t think I paid the tax on some of the free things at London Drugs, tax seems a little low.

Had fun today with stacking at London Drugs. I mostly went to get a couple things for my dad but ended up some stuff for me too.

I got some Sunlight Laundry Soap with hopes of winning some more with the pin – got 2 x $8.00 off Disney Lion King Blu Ray instead, was a little disappointed. Least I didn’t buy more the two and it will make our clothes smell lemony fresh.

I did happen to find a Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Kit at Save on Foods – took a few different stores to find one. Hopefully I can find another before my coupons expire.

I also went to Kernels and got my almost free small bag of popcorn. I had a free $5 digital coupon from a website a couple weeks ago (no longer available). Was 19 cents before tax and delicious.

I picked up some sale things in Bath and Body Works too – a few packs of $6 wallflowers (2 in a pack) and used a coupon to get a free snowflake wallflower nightlight holder. Loving the Cranberry Pear Bellini – it smells AMAZING!

First time with overage

Today was awesome. I got some great prices on things and met up with a fellow couponer that I found online. She was AMAZING. She gave me some coupons I had been looking for and many more that will get me some great free products with stacking.

I was in Walmart and they had the trial L’Oreal Man Expert shaving cream that I had been looking for! I also bought another pack of Scrubbing Bubbles to use my overage from the shaving cream. My first time with overage, so exciting! I also didn’t think I would get any more coupons – but I did. Too late now, will have to use them for more. ;)

The lady in Walmart really didn’t like the coupon but after talking with 6 people she took it. The manager said “It’s a coupon, take it and put it in your drawer.” Then she was all in a huff about it not fitting in her drawer. I don’t understand the deal with the cashiers being so bitter about coupons but she took it in the end so I was happy.

Save on Foods – Coupon Stacking

This is my first real time I have tried coupon stacking. It went over pretty well. I could of bought more then I did but like I mentioned before, I don’t want a huge stock pile – just a few of each item if it is a good price and something we use often.

Really happy how easy coupon stacking was at Save on Foods – I shop their often so this is a huge plus for me.

On another note, I went to Bath and Body Works tonight too and got to use some coupons there. The last was extra nice and let me stack some coupons even though they are not supposed to. But I go there so often I guess she decided to be nice. I love Bath and Body Works!
