Norwex Body Cloths (best thing ever!)

There is something called a Norwex Body Cloth. And it is AMAZING. A-MA-Z-ING.

I want to start by saying I purchased this product with my own money and I am not associated with Norwex in anyway, this review is completely honest and my own.

I use it at least twice a day and every time I ask myself, how did I ever live without this?

It’s a cloth, looks like a fairly regular cloth.

Norwex Body Cloth

You get it wet and wash. It takes off all your makeup and leaves your skin so soft and clean. Seriously. Just the cloth and water. No cleaner, nothing. Just water and the cloth. I feel like my face is cleaner than it ever is with soap. I also feel like my skin looks better, cleaner and maybe even a little bit brighter? Just don’t scrub too hard! I have taken some skin off with it, oops.

A three pack of cloths is only $20 and they should last for years. So easy to take on a trip, just throw a cloth in your bag. No need for bottles of cleaners, soaps, etc. The best thing, they work great on your whole body! They are awesome for scrubbing and exfoliating and even shaving (yes, SHAVING, that topic needs it’s own post.)

With this one cloth I have replaced my face cleaners (I do still use them occasionally, but only because I have some left, I always use the cloth as well), puff/loofah things, scrubbing mit, exfoliating body wash and shaving cream. Some people say you don’t need soap with it, but I always use a little soap as well because I am worried I would smell, especially with it being such a hot summer. But be careful about using soaps with the cloths because they can suck everything up; I always use my Norwex cloth with water only. They do have the AntiBac (silver in the microfiber) in them so they are antibacterial.

$20 for three cloths, that is $6.67 each and I have replaced at least 5 products. I have only been using my cloths about two months and I have already saved at least $20.

Both my sister and my husband said they feel weird. Maybe they do a little bit but I still love them. My husband keeps using his and says it works good though. My sister gave up on hers after one try. I personally love the feel of it. It makes me feel so nice and clean.

How To Use

  1. Wet face and cleanse with a damp Body Cloth. For dry or sensitive skin, including skin around the eye area, wipe gently with a moist cloth. For oily skin or for a deeper exfoliation, wring cloth well before using.
  2. Rinse under warm water and use other side of cloth to continue cleansing face or body.
  3. Slightly dirty microfiber can be washed with Norwex Dishwashing Liquid under warm running water and used again before laundering. Rinse thoroughly after washing and air or machine dry.
  4. Cloths that have been used heavily should be laundered using Norwex Ultra Power Plus™, which contains no fillers, after each use. Do not use bleach, fabric softeners or dryer sheets.

Did you know?
Harsh soaps and cleansers can be drying to skin. They’re especially problematic to those with sensitive skin. Using a soft microfiber cloth with just water can help maintain the balance of delicate skin.
The tiny plastic microbeads in some facial cleansers are nonbiodegradable. In fact, they were recently banned by the state of Illinois because of their detrimental effects on the environment.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips Review

I am sure these have been reviewed a billion times, but here it is, review a billion and one from a new Mom.

For three years I had gel nails. I would go every three weeks and get them done; I loved them. I always feel put together with my nails done (even if I don’t have make up on). When I found out I was pregnant I knew I was going to have to stop getting my nails done, and I did, around the 6 month mark. It was a sad day, but I knew I just wouldn’t be able to step away for a few hours to get them done – also, the cost.

I missed my nails so I tried painting them. I tried multiple times. I waited between coats, I used a base coat and a top coat and nothing I did looked good enough. The polish would bubble or smudge (never have that problem with my toes!) – finally I gave up. No one has time for that and I knew once the baby came I definitely wouldn’t have time to paint my nails anyway. I am now used to seeing my finger nails bare but I still miss having them done. Site note, I guess you really shouldn’t be painting your nails too much anyway while you are pregnant… oops!

A few weeks ago I was at the dollar store and saw them for $2.50. My sister uses them and loves them so I thought I would give them a try. Can you really go wrong for $2.50? The patterns are not my favourite but $2.50.

The application process was pretty simple. I was able to still text and do things while putting them on. No worry about smudges or waiting for them to dry. I did wait for baby to go to bed before putting them on but it was nice to know that if he did wake up I wouldn’t have to cover him (and everything else) in nail polish.

I got lots of compliments on them. It was probably because of the wild print, but again, $2.50. They did start chipping within a couple days but not too bad. I left them on for about 2 and a half weeks, for picky people it was probably about half a week too long. One was chipping pretty bad but otherwise the only real issue was growth. I probably would have left them even longer but I am thinking about putting on a fresh set because we are going to a wedding.

Removal was pretty easy, I soaked bits of cotton ball in nail polish remover and let them sit on my nails for a couple minutes before wiping them off. I did have to spend a few minutes removing little flakes of left over nail strips that seemed to get everywhere, but overall they didn’t take too long to get off.

Would I spend $10 (regular price) for these? Not sure. I probably would if I wasn’t currently on a budget. But for $2.50 I will buy them again, if I can find them. I also found Essie and OPI strips. Reviews for those will come when I get a chance to try them.
