Free Bacon, Lean Cusine and Alberto Hair Product. Cheap Shavers and Razor Blades.

Spent way more today than I had planned on; that is the problem with couponing. You seem to have to spend money to save money. When there is a good deal you jump on it and buy enough to last you a while. Yes you save money in the long run but you spend more at the given moment then you intended. If that makes sense.

Take today for example – I decided to go into Superstore to see if there were any good clearance items and there was. I spent $30 on razor blades that we don’t need right now but will need in the future – but I saved $30. Razor blades don’t go bad and you always need them and they rarely go on a good sale – it is an easy one to justify but expensive. Least I controlled myself and only bought 3 boxes, there were many more there that I could of brought home. :)

I figure around $1.00 a blade is an awesome price for good 4 blade razor blade; these were $1.15 each. 3 boxes should last us almost two years – hence why I didn’t buy more. Hopefully there is another good sale before then.

Think I did pretty good today, even if I spent $45 I hadn’t planned on.

Some quick Walmart deals from the weekend, didn’t think this needed it’s own post.

My Last Aveeno Stack

Sad to see these stacks go. I figured I might as well use the last one up since they expire at the end of the month. I have a feeling our stacking days are numbered, might as well do it well I can! I normally use the Bath and Body Works body wash because I usually get a free when buying something else but this Aveeno body wash smelled amazing. Since most of my other Aveeno stacks were for someone else I thought I would treat myself.

I am well stocked in feminine products now, it is so hard to resist when they are so cheap but I should have enough to last me almost two years now. Thankfully they come in such small boxes they are easy to store.

I love FREE stuff. Have had a really good free week: pomegranates, O.B., aveeno and bacon! Really starting to get the hang of getting stuff free. :D haha

Using Up FREE Product Coupons: FREE Tenderflake, Kraft Dressing, Olivieri Pasta and Asana Yogurt

I had a few free product coupons that expire at the end of the month so I thought it was time I hunt down the products and use up my coupons. I had to go to three different stores to use up 4 coupons. Seems kind of retarded to me. So much driving all over and wasting time – I mean I got free stuff but there has to be a line somewhere…

I had been looking for the Asana yogurt for a while now… went to THREE more stores yesterday before finally finding it at a store I never stop at – Quality Foods. I just can’t believe how many stores I checked before hand that didn’t sell it. The same goes for the Tenderflake Easy Pie/Crumble Kit – apparently only WalMart sells it. Kind of annoying – and they only had the crumble version. :( I found the Olivieri Whole Grain and the Pure KRAFT Refrigerated Salad Dressing at Save On Foods.

Finally Wal-Mart had the Tylenol Muscle Aches and Body Pain in stock – was able to use up my last two coupons. Earned $0.33 cents overage each. Also stacked $8.00 in Finish coupons in Save On Foods to get some very cheap – $0.49 before tax Finish Quantum Powerballs. 20 count.

Free Olay Body Wash – Cheap Tylenol and Scrubbing Bubbles

Was in Save on Foods tonight and got super excited when I saw some Olay Body Wash priced at $2.99 – I figured it was perfect to use my $2.00 coupon from P&G. I grabbed two of them – great stocking stuffers, but when I got to the till they rang is as $3.99. After checking the price they let me SCOP (scanning code of practice = FREE) one and buy the second at $2.99. But they wouldn’t let me use the coupon – the wording on the coupon says “Save $2.00 when you buy any Olay hand and body product” so they told me I had to buy two products a body product and a hand product – wouldn’t the coupon say productS or when you buy 2 then? So confused on this still, I think I should of been able to use it for ONE body wash. Does anyone have any idea on this?

The lady was great – she even was the one to suggest SCOP – and it was tagged wrong so I can’t go back and try my coupon again. But I did get one FREE and another cheap Scrubbing Bubbles 1 Step Toilet Kit. Actually got one of these hooked up a couple weeks ago and I like it! So far my toilet seems nice and clean. I have never had a cashier suggest SCOP to me before, I always have to ask for it and in this case of might of *gasp* forgot!

Almost Free Gillette, Glade, Advil, Covergirl & Free Tylenol

This is a couple days worth of trips combined into one post. Really excited for finding the Gillette Body wash for $2.50! I have been watching for a sale and almost missed the one at Save on Foods, thankfully I caught it last night on the last day of the sale. I just happened to be walking down the isle and the sign caught my eye – phew! Men’s body wash is one of the things I haven’t really bought much of yet and we go through a fair bit in my house. With my $2.00 off from Brandsaver they were only 50 cents each before tax! SCORE! Wish I had more of these coupons…

The other day when I was in Shoppers Drug Mart there was some on a clearance table with a $2.29 sticker, I was so excited but when I got up to the till they were $4.99 – was a bit disappointed but this made up for it.

London Drugs currently has some of the Covergirl products on sale for $5.99 – perfect time to use my $4.00 that just came in the mail this week!

Free Dove, Cheap OB Tampons, Oasis Juice & Duracell Rechargeable Batteries

Got some pretty good shopping trips in this weekend. Went into Shoppers Drug Mart to get a couple things and use some coupons. Both things I went in for had the sale tags on the wrong items. Whoever did the pricing must of been half asleep! Not that I am complaining, I got even better deals!

SDM had Duracell Mini Recharges on sale for $6.88 and I had a $5 coupon from P&G – but when we I went to get them they had put the sale on tag on the regular charger that recharges 4 batteries at a time! SCORE, I no longer need to use two outlets to charge my keyboard batteries – even better, they came with 4 batteries for $1.88 plus tax! The ones in the charger are the black tops – the white tops are better, but I don’t care for the price. So excited, I was even able to get two! I also went to pick up some of the OB tampons for $1.99 and they had marked the 40 boxes for $1.99 – it was supposed to be the 18’s. I bought two but couldn’t use my coupon because they were on sale (coupon says regular price). Price was still awesome. Maybe I should of got more then 2 boxes…

I was really impressed with Shoppers Drug Mart for honouring their errors. They did have to confirm the stickers on the products and they did admit their error – because they tagged the wrong items I could not SCOP (scanning code of practice), but I could have it for the price listed. They also removed the tags from the shelves after me. I don’t know if they had to honour the price errors but they did and it make it super happy – even if I had to wait a bit. :)
